"I have been asked who is this Observer. The real you is the unconditional Observer, the one who was before the body and who shall be after the body. This is the Higher Self, the real, the eternal, that which resides in the ground of being. There is no need to search far and wide for this Observer. It is in your Heart. Chant the Mahamantra, then become silent. When the incessant chatter and noise in your brain ceases, and you are in the space between your thoughts, there you shall find the Observer. Listen carefully. All that you need to destroy your despair is there in the silent space between your thoughts."
