Hope and Doubt - The Duality of Existence
Dare I hope? Once again committing adultery with the wife of doubt?
This fleeting thought can be used to exemplify the duality we have come to embrace in our existence in this world. The duality we experience on a daily basis in every walk of life is evident as we submit ourselves to the preconceived opinion of "fate." Such thinking is learned behavior fom a social enviornment that is focused upon the quality of the body's life rather than enhancing the quality of the real, the true, the spirit.
Hope is but justification and support of doubt much like anger is simply the abscense of love or darkness the abscense of light. The trendy movements based upon superficial "quick fixes" for the ailments of mankind occupy much time and effort in attempting to lessen the intensity of the natural progression of nature's path called transformation. A child's "imaginary friends" are routinely dismissed as immaturity and in some cases treatments of medication are advised in order to eleviate the discomfort brought upon those witnessing the natural state of being that the child is experiencing - the child is not the threat, the recognition of a discarded truth is the motivation for the panic in the "normal"ized adult member of society who has compromised his or her personal truth to the point of total submission to the views and opinions of other bodies - a meeting of the higher self, salvation in truth, is held at bay as if it were a vampire attempting to suck the life blood of a victim. How have we arrived at this state of being?
One part of the explanation is in the form of questions:
"Who am I?" This age old question is now being answered for our children even before it is ever asked. We have raised generations to believe, without question, that they are their body. These souls are raised to believe that they are their emotions, feelings, thoughts, urges - all the elements which compromise the "lower self." These generations are not guided to be aware of the fact that "they" are not their body; "they" are the non-judgmental observer riding in the body going through life on a quest for truth, seeking to serve the truth, the creator; "they" need not live in duality but, rather, have the option to live beyond "hope and doubt" - "they" are not provided the guidance that they are capable of living in TRUST, TRUTH, SERVICE.
"Why am I here?" Why are we not taught when growing in this world that we are to make it our purpose to serve others? That is why we are here on this world, is it not? That is the purpose of being in a body .... to serve. It is not to make money, acquire things, power, knowledge .... it is to serve. No matter what your capacity, no matter what the task or resource, your purpose here, to be a human being, is to be in service, and your path of living is in truth, simplicity and love.
TRUTH: Man is enslaved by his lower self. This causes him to desire things, power and acquire as much as possible. If we lived in truth most problems of this world would disappear.
SIMPLICITY: Our desire for things has created a great imbalance and toll on this world's environment. This acquisition has led to the few owning and controlling most of the wealth. If we were guided and educated in objective thinking and truth, we would live in simplicity. How many homes does one need to live in. How many clothes do we need to dress with. Things, things and more things. Soon they own us. We worry about these things. We steal them. Go to war over them. Spend our time guarding and maintaining them. We become bored with things, discard them, get new things and repeat the cycle over and over. But we are still lonely, unfulfilled, agitated. The Buddha once said that if you cannot in a moments notice leave your home and all your things you could never be enlightened. In right living one becomes attached to nothing, but there is a connection, a spiritual connection to the higher self, that part of you, the real you, the one who observes the Universe, the one connected to the Creator. Now, this doesn't mean that you should give up your things. It means that things are things. And living in this manner, one is not attached to things, but merely observes. The true higher self is an observer who watches without judgement, without thought. Observation without desire. Without desire one can live in simplicity.
LOVE: Love is unconditional. It is like the higher self who observes without thought, without desire, without judgement. And love of the Creator.
Our children have been robbed of the option to strive to live on the higher path; they have not been witness to the possibility of making it one's purpose to serve others. We must all realize that is why we are here on this world. That is the purpose of being in a body ... to serve.
. . . . . . to become aware of those we do not know - but are us . . . tisk, tisk, whisper - fleeting time has come to a HALT!!
