July 6, 2000 - Is Looking At Eclipses Inauspicious?

Babaji,

There is a myth in India that looking at eclipses of the sun/moon is inauspicious. Is this correct? We are planning to visit your Vapi ashram on Guru Purnima day (July 16th ) and on that day there is also a partial eclipse. Is it Ok to look at the moon/sun on that day? Please also give us your blessings when we visit Vapi.

Babaji Responds:

"Blessings:

"In the time before the advent of eye protection, many were blinded by looking at eclipses of the Sun. So the myth was created to prevent eye damage. But looking at the moon, especially the light of a full moon, can heal dis-ease. You will have a wonderful visit.
